Powers Golf is located at The City of Charleston Municipal Golf Course, 2110 Maybank Highway in Charleston, SC. PGA Master Instructor Boykin Powers personally delivers traditional instruction by the hour and innovative Coaching Programs to adults and juniors of all skill levels, utilizing Trackman Radar technology to help his students measure their results and improvement.
PowersGolf also provides Trackman Technology for your golf outing, charity tournament or special event, adding the excitement of seeing their Trackman numbers and relating to what they see on TV while watching the PGA Tour players play.
ABOUT BOYKIN POWERS
Boykin became a Class A member of the PGA of America in 2003 and became a PGA Master of Instruction in 2010. He was born and raised in Charleston, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina. He spent a couple years at The Kiawah Island Golf Resort as an golf professional then traveled around the United States teaching golf for the Nike Golf Academy, The Ritson-Sole Golf Schools and GolfTEC before coming back to Charleston and taking the role of Head Golf Professional at "The Muni", in 2013. He has now taught thousands of lessons for over 22 years and has become a US Kids TOP 50 Master Coach and a TrackMan Level 2 Certified Coach during that time.

Teaching Philosophy
Teach each individual differently according to their strengths and weakness, keeping the students natural movements while eliminating any unnecessary moving parts of the golf swing. I want to keep the swing, and instruction, as simple as possible while getting the student to use the big muscles to create power and allowing for greater consistency. Priority is put in center face strike and learning how to mange the club face throughout the swing. Then create an effective training method according to each players' goals to make required swing changes in the most efficient possible way. Everyone learns differently, everyone moves differently and everyone feels their movements differently, therefore I believe there are many different swing styles that can be effective, and we can improve quickly focusing on the little movements causing our issues.
